MICT, Inc., an agri-fintech company, operates a marketplace platform that empowers social upliftment through mobile, technology, and financial access for rural farming communities in Africa. Its platform service, through the use of smartphones, offers a "device as a service" model to empower a marketplace that enables subscribers/farmers within and outside of the agricultural sector to manage commercial activities of growing and selling production to market participants both domestically and internationally. The ecosystem provides a "one stop shop" solution to enable subscribers to manage airtime top-ups, bill pay services for utilities and other service providers, and access to insurance services and microfinance to support the value chain from "seed to sale." The company also focuses on the development of a suite of consumer fintech services in China, including proprietary platforms for insurance products (B2B, B2B2C, and B2C) and financial services/products (B2C), the technology for which is adaptable for other applications and markets. MICT, Inc. was formerly known as Micronet Enertec Technologies, Inc. and changed its name to MICT, Inc. in July 2018. MICT, Inc. was incorporated in 2002 and is based in Montvale, New Jersey.
