Description
Rio Alto Mining was a Vancouver-based international gold producer engaged in the exploration, development, and production of mineral resource properties throughout Latin America. Its principal asset was the La Arena mine, located in the La Libertad Region of Peru. The company and its assets were acquired by Tahoe Resources, Inc. in 2015, and as a result, the company no longer exists. Rio Alto Mining Ltd was involved in the mining, production, and sale of gold from the La Arena Gold Oxide Mine located in Peru. It was also engaged in the exploration and development of the Shahuindo Project, which is also located in Peru, as well as the exploration of La Arena Phase II.
