Description
The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, the fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its net assets, which include borrowings for investment purposes, in the common and preferred stocks of companies of any market capitalization located in Asia that Matthews believes satisfy one or more of its environmental, social and governance ("ESG") standards. The fund may also invest in convertible securities and fixed-income securities, of any duration or quality, including high yield securities (also known as "junk bonds"), of Asian companies.
